DescriptionI’m very pleased to offer this extraordinary 1920s copper Thistle ceiling fixture by the incomparable Lightolier Company! ABOUT LIGHTOLIER Beginning in the 1920s, and for many decades thereafter, the Lightolier Company (extant today) made some of the very finest fixtures. Their designs were always simply dazzling, and the quality was the very very very best. When you restore vintage lights such as I do, these aspects are so obvious they tend to jump out. It’s always a particular pleasure restoring a Lightolier!Wow. Wow!The fixture is cast-iron and appears to be copper-plated.The whole is richly decorated. Incredible. Note the thistles!The bottom plate is particularly stunning, and has a mica panel above.Even the finial is striking.Yep, wow!All the wiring is new.The height is 20-inches.
