In FM mode, the OPTIMOD Trio has four processing structures: five-band, five-band with low latency, five-band with ultra-low latency and two-band. In addition, the device can be used as an independent stereo coder with a latency of only 2 milliseconds and full overshoot mitigation in both the left/right and composite baseband domains. The ITU BS.412 Multiplex Power Controller is flexibly adjustable and ensures smooth and reliable MPX power within established regulations in countries where it is required. In addition, there is a built-in RDS/RBDS generator that supports dynamic PS scrolling and IP access. For AM mode, the Orban OPTIMOD Trio provides excellent audio quality for AM broadcasts on short wave, medium wave and long wave. The unit increases the density and loudness of the audio material with multiband compression and distortion, suppresses clipping, and improves both sound consistency and definition, with no audible side effects. The high- and low-frequency rolloffs that often occur with AM receivers are compensated for by a fully adjustable equalizer, which provides up to 20 dB of high-frequency gain (at 5 kHz), without the typical drawbacks of conventional processors. In HD mode, you can choose between five-band processing for consistent sound quality and effective loudness control, or a two-band structure that preserves the frequency balance of the original material while regulating subjective loudness. The “True Peak” limiter anticipates peak levels after D/A conversion, a frequently requested feature by broadcasters. Orban’s PreCode™ technology enables audio customization and minimizes artifacts often caused by low bitrate codecs in HD Radio™, DAB and streaming.
